IMF Delegation to Hold Key Economic Talks with Sri Lankan Officials

COLOMBO (News 1st): The International Monetary Fund (IMF) delegation in Sri Lanka is scheduled to hold a series of meetings today with officials from the Ministry of Power, the Ministry of Rural Development, the Sri Lanka Chamber of Commerce, and the Ministry of Finance.

Deputy Minister of Finance Dr. Anil Jayantha Fernando said the discussions will focus on the country's current economic conditions and key challenges.

He noted that these meetings are part of the preparatory process ahead of the IMF's seventh programme review. 

During their visit, the IMF delegation will also assess Sri Lanka's recent economic performance and growth. 

Meanwhile, the delegation held a progress review meeting yesterday with officials from the Sri Lanka Customs to evaluate ongoing reforms and implementation efforts.
