COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka’s Education Ministry has officially announced that the results of the 2025 GCE Ordinary Level (O/L) Examination will be released by June 15.
Deputy Minister of Education, Dr. Madhura Seneviratne, confirmed that preparations for issuing the results are currently underway, with officials finalizing documentation ahead of the release.
The 2025 GCE Ordinary Level examination was conducted from February 17 to February 26, drawing a total of 451,463 candidates nationwide.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Minister also addressed concerns regarding the upcoming GCE Advanced Level (A/L) Examination, firmly stating that it will proceed as scheduled despite requests from certain groups to postpone it.
Dr. Seneviratne noted that while various parties had appealed for a delay, there is currently no necessity to alter the planned timetable.
The Department of Examinations has confirmed that the 2026 GCE Advanced Level examination is scheduled to be held from August 10 to September 5.
