Falling Tree Claims Three Lives Including Schoolgirl

COLOMBO (News 1st); A tragic incident in the Mapakanda South area of Nawalapitiya has claimed the lives of three people, including a young school-going child, after a tree collapsed onto a moving three-wheeler.

According to police, the victims include a 14-year-old school student. Two other victims, a 51-year-old and a 34-year-old women, also died in the incident.

The three-wheeler driver, who sustained critical injuries in the collapse, has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the Nawalapitiya Hospital.
