Arrest Warrant Issued for Ex-MP Jayantha Samaraweera

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Fort Magistrate’s Court has issued a warrant for the arrest of former National Freedom Front Parliamentarian Jayantha Samaraweera in connection with a case involving the alleged misuse of vehicles belonging to the Presidential Secretariat.

The order was issued today by Fort Magistrate Pasan Amarasena when the case was taken up for hearing.

The case relates to accusations that vehicles attached to the Presidential Secretariat had been improperly utilised.
