Foreign National Arrested at BIA With Nearly 2kg Of Cocaine

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A foreign national was arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake while attempting to smuggle nearly two kilograms of cocaine into the country.

The suspect has been identified as an Indian national. 

According to the Customs, the cocaine stock was seized this morning by officers attached to the Narcotics Control Unit of Sri Lanka Customs. 

Investigations revealed that the suspect had travelled from Kampala, Uganda, to Doha, Qatar, before arriving at the Airport today.
