Sri Lanka Needs a New Era, Says Harsha de Silva

COLOMBO (News 1st); Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Parliamentarian Dr. Harsha de Silva has emphasised that he is prepared to take on any challenge in the national interest when the need arises, while noting that Sri Lanka now requires a new era.

Dr. de Silva made these remarks in a post shared on social media, which was also published on his official Facebook account under the message that the country needs a new phase of progress.

In the post, he reflected on his personal journey into politics, noting that none of his family members had been involved in political life. He stated that from a young age, he developed a strong sense of concern for the country and a belief that Sri Lanka should one day become a developed nation.

According to the extract shared in his post, this sense of responsibility was the driving force behind his entry into politics. He further stated that this commitment remains unchanged and continues to guide his efforts toward achieving that long-term vision.
