Pensions Department Services Resume After System Upgrade

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Department of Pensions has announced that services, which were temporarily suspended due to system upgrades, will resume as normal starting today.

According to the department, the updates were carried out with the aim of delivering a more efficient service to the public by modernising its computer system.

Meanwhile, the department also stated that preparations are underway to commence payments related to pension anomalies from July.

Under this initiative, pension disparities affecting individuals who retired in 2019 or earlier will be addressed.
