Sri Lanka and Maldives Allocate Land for Reciprocal High Commissions

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake announced a reciprocal diplomatic initiative between Sri Lanka and the Maldives, marking a significant step in strengthening bilateral relations.

The President said that Sri Lanka has allocated land in Colombo for the Maldives High Commission. In return, the Maldives has allocated land in Malé for the Sri Lanka High Commission.

President Dissanayake described the move as a reflection of mutual trust and goodwill.

He added that Sri Lanka remains a welcoming second home for all positive initiatives that further strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
