COLOMBO (News 1st) - Officials at the Merchant Shipping Secretariat have announced that operations have commenced to rescue the Sri Lankan currently held aboard the vessel 'Honour 25', which was hijacked by Somali pirates.
The vessel was seized by pirates approximately a week ago while en route to Mogadishu, Somalia.
The ship's crew includes 17 members from various nationalities including 01 Sri Lankan, 10 Pakistanis, 04 Indonesians, 01 Indian and 01 Myanmar national.
