Public Property Act Case Against Ranil Postponed

COLOMBO (News 1st): Court has ordered that the case filed against former President Ranil Wickremesinghe under the Public Property Act be postponed until July 8.

The order was issued when the case was taken up for hearing today at the Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court.

The case has been filed on allegations that during his tenure as President, Wickremesinghe misused public funds to travel to London to attend a degree award ceremony of his wife, Professor Maithree Wickremesinghe.
