COLOMBO (News 1st); Vice President of India, Shri C.P. Radhakrishnan, will undertake an official visit to Sri Lanka from 19 to 20 April 2026, marking the first bilateral visit by an Indian Vice President to the country.
During the visit, the Vice President will call on the President of Sri Lanka, Anura Kumara Dissanayake. He is also scheduled to meet the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, along with other dignitaries and leaders of the Indian diaspora.
Sri Lanka is a key partner in India’s Vision MAHASAGAR and its Neighbourhood First Policy, said the Indian Ministry of External Affairs in a statement.
The visit follows a series of recent high-level engagements between the two nations and is expected to further strengthen the millennia-old people-to-people ties that bind India and Sri Lanka.
