Foreign National Arrested at BIA with a Stock of Cocaine

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A foreign woman who arrived in the country with a stock of cocaine concealed within her body was arrested at the Bandaranayake International Airport in Katunayake by officers of the BIA Customs.
The suspect, a 47-year-old Ugandan businesswoman, arrived from Kampala, Uganda.
According to Customs, she had hidden 274 grams of cocaine, packaged into 21 capsules, inside her body.
The seized narcotics are estimated to be worth 12,330,000 (12.33 Million) Sri Lankan Rupees.
