Police Arrest 31 Over Illegal Fuel Hoarding

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Thirty-one people have been arrested for illegally hoarding fuel during raids conducted between March 3 and April 2. 

According to the Police Media Division, the authorities seized 47,006 liters of diesel, 2,668 liters of petrol, and 2,706 liters of kerosene while the suspects were still in police custody.

The police stated that, under the instructions of the Inspector General of Police, they are continuing to carry out raids to apprehend individuals illegally hoarding fuel amid the ongoing energy crisis.
