No Changes to Upcoming Exam Schedules, says Deputy Minister of Education

COLOMBO (News 1st): Deputy Minister of Education Dr. Madhura Seneviratne has confirmed that there are currently no plans to postpone or reschedule any upcoming examinations. 

The Deputy Minister confirmed that following high-level official discussions, the Ministry had concluded that the loss of approximately four school days leading up to the holidays will not significantly impact syllabus coverage. 

He noted that while the education sector is aligning its operations with national energy policies, the current situation does not warrant a delay in the examination calendar. 

He emphasized that while the Ministry remains flexible to changing circumstances, the existing exam schedules remain unchanged for the time being.
