ID Registration Services Fully Restored After System Failure

COLOMBO (News 1st); All services at Sri Lanka’s Department of Registration of Persons have been fully restored following a disruption caused by a computer system failure, the department said.

Public services, including its one-day service, were temporarily suspended due to the breakdown in the department’s computer system, preventing operations from being carried out as scheduled.

The department confirmed that services resumed from 11 a.m. today after the system failure was rectified, allowing all functions to return to normal.
