COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka has sufficient fuel stocks to meet demand until the end of May, the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) said, seeking to reassure the public amid concerns over supply continuity.
CPC Chairman D. A. Rajakaruna said that the necessary tenders related to fuel procurement have already been called, ensuring uninterrupted availability of fuel in the coming weeks.
He further noted that if fuel queues continue to ease and the situation returns to normal, authorities will consider ending the odd-even fuel distribution system that was introduced to manage demand during periods of shortage.
