Two Arrested in Drug Raids in Katunayake and Orugodawatta

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Police have arrested a suspect attempting to smuggle a stock of Kush drugs into the country at Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake last night.

The suspect, a 32-year-old resident of Muthur, was found in possession of 5 kilograms and 140 grams of Kush. 

In a separate incident, authorities apprehended an 18-year-old suspect in Orugodawatta for possession of drugs. 

Police recovered 154 grams of heroin and 103 grams of ICE from the suspect. 

Further investigations are ongoing.
