PUCSL To Announce Power Tariff Decision This Month

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) states that the decision regarding the proposal to revise electricity tariffs will be announced within this month.

The public consultation process concerning the proposal concludes today. Public opinions and suggestions for the Western Province are being gathered throughout the day at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) premises.

Gathering of feedback has been conducted covering all nine provinces.

Recently, the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) requested permission from the PUCSL to increase electricity tariffs by 13.56% for the period from April to June of this year.
