Four Fuel Ships to Arrive This Month Carrying Up to 40,000 Metric Tons Each

COLOMBO (News 1st); Four fuel‑carrying vessels, each transporting between 35,000 and 40,000 metric tons, are scheduled to arrive in the country within this month, according to the Chairman of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC), D.A. Rajakaruna.

He said the vessels are expected to reach Sri Lanka on four separate date ranges: the 14th–15th, 17th–18th, 21st–22nd, and 29th–30th of this month.

Rajakaruna confirmed that the first three vessels will carry both petrol and diesel, while the final vessel will carry diesel only.

The CPC stated that fuel stocks have already been ordered to meet national requirements until the end of April.

The Chairman further noted that the fuel shipments will be procured at prices applicable at the time they are unloaded.

All four vessels are scheduled to arrive from India and Singapore.
