Indian National Arrested at BIA with 2kg of Kush

COLOMBO (News 1st): A foreign national who arrived in Sri Lanka with 2 kilograms of Kush cannabis has been arrested by officers of the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) Katunayake Airport Unit, police said.

According to police, the suspect is a 27-year-old Indian national, who was taken into custody last night during a search operation conducted by PNB officers at the arrival terminal of the Bandaranaike International Airport.

The value of the seized Kush narcotics stock exceeds Rs. 27.6 million, police added.

Meanwhile, in a separate operation, police said a man was arrested in the Dodangoda, Hermanwatta area while travelling in a three-wheeler carrying 225 grams of Ice (methamphetamine).

The arrested individual is a 27-year-old resident of Dodangoda, according to police.
