Third Phase of 2026 First School Term Begins

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The third phase of the first term for the year 2026 across all Government schools and Government approved private schools will begin today.
The Ministry of Education announced that schools will close again for the Sinhala and Tamil New Year on Friday, on the April 10th.
Schools are scheduled to resume on April 20th following holidays.
