Litro Gas Shipment Carrying 3,900 Metric Tons of LP Gas to Arrive Today

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Litro Gas Lanka Ltd says that A shipment carrying 3,900 metric tonnes of LP gas is scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka today. 

Chairman Channa Gunawardena says that the company is currently releasing 150,000 LP gas cylinders to the market daily to meet consumer demand. 

He further noted that measures were taken yesterday to supply LP gas to tourist hotels and industries that had been affected due to the recent shortage of Laugfs Gas in the market. 

The Chairman assured that operations are underway to meet the domestic LP gas requirements without interruption.

Another vessel carrying 3,700 metric tonnes of LP gas is expected to reach the island on the 28th of February. 

Litro Gas says that a LP gas stock larger than the current month has been ordered for next month. 

Approximately, 40,000 New LP gas cylinders ordered by the company are expected to arrive by the 12th of next month.

Litro Gas confirmed that operations are underway to release these stocks to the market immediately as possible to ensure availability of stocks in the market for consumers.
