Police Hand Over Investigation on Rocket Launchers to CID

COLOMBO (News1st): Further investigations into the three rocket launchers discovered hidden in Kudumbimalai, Valaichchenai have been handed over to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

This directive was issued by the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Priyantha Weerasuriya. 

Three Swedish-made 84mm RCL M2 rocket launchers. were discovered yesterday.

Police stated that the launchers had been previously buried in the Palatchenai, Kudumbimalai area before an individual had reportedly unearthed them and hidden them elsewhere in the same vicinity before they were seized by authorities.
