Sri Lanka Navy Fires 25-Gun Salute to Mark 78th Independence Day

COLOMBO (News1st): In celebration of the 78th Independence Day, the Sri Lanka Navy fired a 25-gun salute at 12:00 noon today to pay tribute to the nation.

The ceremonial salute was fired from the naval vessel SLNS Sayura, stationed in the seas off the Galle Face Green.

The Navy stated that two other naval ships, SLNS Gajabahu and SLNS Vijayabahu, were also anchored at the location during the ceremony.
