Ex-Minister P. Harrison Questioned for Hours Over Controversial Dairy Cow Deal

COLOMBO (News 1st); Former Minister P. Harrison appeared before the Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID) today to give a statement regarding the controversial importation of dairy cows.

Police said the former Minister arrived at the FCID at around 9:30 a.m. and left the premises at approximately 4:15 p.m.

According to police, the statement was recorded as part of the ongoing investigation into the transactions related to the importation of dairy cows from Australia during the period 2012 to 2017.

Police further stated that the FCID has also recorded statements on several previous occasions from former Ministry Secretary Renuka Ekanayake in connection with the same investigation.
