National Child Health Promotion Program for Early Childhood Health and Education Reforms Launched

COLOMBO (News1st): The National Communication Program for Child Health Promotion, aimed at fostering social and behavioral changes in early childhood, was launched at Temple Trees.

The program was held under the patronage of Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya. 

The initiative is launched under a joint effort by the Health Promotion Bureau, the Ministry of Women and Child Affairs, the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education, UNICEF, and the "Clean Sri Lanka" program.

Participating in the event, Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya said that the government has initiated measures to maintain preschool education within a standardized framework and to align it to one curriculum. 

The efforts also include establishing a systematic teacher training process and ensuring the overall quality of preschool education.
