Coast Guard Seizes Suspects with Illegal Substances in Special Raid Operations

COLOMBO (News1st): Two suspects were arrested by the Department of Coast Guard along with a stock of illegal liquor, narcotics, and cigarettes.

The arrests were made during special raid operations conducted in Negombo, Chilaw, and Weligama areas.

Coast Guard officers seized 3,400 foreign cigarettes, over 80 liters of illegal local spirits, 18 barrels of 'Godha' a substance used for illicit liquor production and over 3 grams of Hashish that were in the possession of the suspects.
