Trains along the Coastal Line Delayed After Truck Gets Stuck on Rail Tracks

COLOMBO (News1st): Train services along the Coastal Line are experiencing significant delays after a truck loaded with granite got stuck on the tracks near the Ambalangoda railway station.

According to the Department of Railways, the incident occurred when the truck was being reversed toward the railway line, causing it to get stuck on the track. 

The department added that thereby, all office trains traveling towards Colombo will be delayed.

Operations to remove the truck and clear the railway line are currently underway.
