COLOMBO (News1st): The Ministry of Fisheries says that diplomatic-level discussions are underway to repatriate the Sri Lankan fishermen who were arrested in the territorial waters of Seychelles.
The multi-day fishing vessel named "Eeshani Duwa" had set sail from the Wennappuwa fishing harbor on December 7.
The crew was taken into custody by Seychelles security forces for illegally crossing their maritime boundaries.
The owner of the vessel, Susil Fernando, a resident of Thalwila, Marawila, says that the fishing vessel was destroyed.
