Three Killed in Road Accidents

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A foreign national has died after being struck by a jeep in Weligama.

Police said the victim was a 42-year-old Slovak national, and the driver of the jeep was arrested. 

Meanwhile, one person was killed and another injured when an SLTB bus collided with a motorcycle near the Annasigala Road on the Kotiyakumbura–Arukgammana Road.

The deceased was a 15-year-old child from Waraththenna, Arukgammana.

The bus driver was taken into custody.

In a separate incident, a 77-year-old man died in a road accident along the Horana–Matugama Road after a car collided with a motorcycle.

Police said the car driver was arrested.
