DMT Launches Temporary Driving License Service at BIA For Citizens Returning From Abroad

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Department of Motor Traffic has decided to issue temporary driving licenses at the Bandaranayake International Airport in Katunayake for Sri Lankan citizens and dual citizens returning from abroad.

These temporary licenses will be issued based on the valid foreign driving licenses currently held by the individuals.

The Department says that a dedicated counter established at the airport is already issuing temporary driving licenses to foreign tourists based on their respective overseas licenses. 

The service has been operational since August 3rd.
