Five Arrested in Murder Plot

COLOMBO (News 1st); Police have arrested five suspects allegedly involved in the planning of a murder in Dehiwala, which investigators say was to be carried out as an act of revenge.

The suspects, aged 22 to 36, are residents of Pankulama, Ratmalana, Boralesgamuwa, and Moratuwa.

On December 6, near a playground on Vanarathana Road, Dehiwala, gunmen opened fire, killing one man and leaving another critically injured. 

The five arrested men are believed to have planned a murder, as an act of revenge for the December 6 attack.
