Circular To Be Issued On Reopening Of Government Schools; A/L Exams To Resume In January

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Secretary to the Ministry of Education, Nalaka Kaluwewa says that a circular on the procedures for reopening government schools that were closed due to adverse weather conditions, will be issued today.

He said that steps are being taken to reopen schools on a provincial basis.

He added that arrangements are underway to reopen schools on December 16.

Meanwhile, Commissioner General of Examinations Indika Liyanage said that all remaining subjects of the GCE Advanced Level Examination will be conducted as early as possible in January.
