C.B. Ratnayake Arrested Over Assets Investigation

COLOMBO (News 1st); Former Minister C.B. Ratnayake has been taken into custody by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption.

The arrest was made in connection with an ongoing investigation conducted by the Assets Investigation Division.

The probe relates to activities during Ratnayake’s tenure in three key ministries: the Ministry of Sports, the Ministry of Transport, and the Ministry of Livestock Development.

The former minister was arrested at approximately 1:40 PM today, while he was present to provide a statement regarding the investigation.
