Railways Limits Operations For Emergency Response

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Railways announced that special train services will operate on select routes exclusively for officials engaged in essential services, as Sri Lanka grapples with severe weather and widespread flooding.

According to the department, limited train journeys will run to:

Aluthgama
Galle
Mirigama
Padukka

These services are intended solely for the transportation of government officers and emergency personnel performing critical duties.
