Colombo to Badulla Night Mail Train Cancelled Again

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Colombo–Badulla night mail train has been cancelled for the second consecutive day following an earth slip between Idalgashinna and Ohiya, which caused a train to derail.

Railway authorities confirmed that the track has not yet been restored, forcing the suspension of last night’s scheduled service as well.

Currently, trains on the Up Country line operate only up to Nanu Oya, with no services beyond that point until repairs are completed.
