Viyaskanth Drafted Into Sri Lanka Squad for Pakistan T20I Tri-Series

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Cricket selectors have named leg-spinner Vijayakanth Viyaskanth in the national men’s squad for the upcoming T20I Tri-Series in Pakistan.

Viyaskanth will travel to Pakistan directly from Qatar, where he represented the Sri Lanka ‘A’ Team in the Asia Cup Rising Stars Tournament.

His inclusion comes as Wanindu Hasaranga continues to recover from a hamstring injury sustained during the recent ODI series.

Sri Lanka will kick off its campaign against Zimbabwe on November 20 at Rawalpindi, before facing hosts Pakistan in what promises to be a competitive series.
