COLOMBO (News 1st); The Colombo Range Crime Division has arrested two more suspects, including a woman, in connection with the Kotahena 16th Lane shooting that claimed the life of a 43-year-old man on November 7.

The suspects are a 27-year-old resident of Colombo 13 and a 32-year-old woman from Maharagama.

Police say the male suspect acted as the driver of the vehicle used by the gunman, while the woman allegedly provided accommodation to the shooters prior to the attack.

Both suspects are now under interrogation on detention orders.

This brings the total number of arrests in the case to seven, as investigators continue to probe what they describe as a violent clash between two underworld gangs.

The murder occurred when a group of assailants arrived in a car and opened fire before fleeing the scene, leaving the victim fatally wounded.
