Manusha, Wife Appear Before Illegal Assets Division

COLOMBO (News 1st); Former Minister Manusha Nanayakkara, along with his wife, appeared before the Police Illegal Assets Investigation Division this morning (22) in connection with an ongoing inquiry into his declared and undeclared assets.

Police sources confirmed that the couple was summoned to assist in investigations related to property and financial assets allegedly acquired during Nanayakkara’s political career.

His mother was also requested to appear before the division today.

The investigation is based on asset and liability declarations submitted by Nanayakkara since entering politics.

This is not the first time the former minister has appeared before the division.
