Three Arrested For Transporting Drugs In Passenger Bus

COLOMBO(News 1st); Three suspects have been arrested for transporting drugs on a private passenger bus traveling from Colombo to Ampara.

Police reported that the arrests were made during a search conducted this morning, following a tip-off received by the Inspector of the Ampara Police Headquarters.

Among those arrested are the individual carrying the drugs, as well as the bus driver and conductor.

During the operation, police seized over 10 grams of heroin and ICE (Crystal Methamphetamine) from the suspect.

Interrogations revealed that the group had been involved in this drug trafficking operation for an extended period.

The suspects are scheduled to be produced before court.
