No Change in U.S. Travel Advisory for Sri Lanka, Confirms Ambassador Julie Chung

COLOMBO (News 1st); The United States Department of State has reaffirmed its existing travel advisory for Sri Lanka, maintaining the country at Level 2: Exercise Increased Caution.

The update, issued on October 9, was clarified by U.S. Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Julie Chung, who emphasized that there has been no change in the advisory level.

In a statement shared via social media, Ambassador Chung noted that the State Department regularly reviews and updates travel advisories to help U.S. citizens make informed decisions about international travel.

The advisory for Sri Lanka does not indicate any escalation in threat levels.

The clarification comes amid speculation following the advisory update.
