Ishara Sewwandi, Key Suspect Behind Ganemulle Sanjeewa Murder Nabbed in Nepal

COLOMBO (News 1st): Ishara Sewwandi, the female suspect involved in the fatal shooting of underworld figure “Ganemulle Sanjeewa,” has been arrested in Nepal.

The arrest was made during a joint special operation conducted by Sri Lanka’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID), the Western Province North Crimes Division, and Nepalese security forces.

According to police, five other suspects were also taken into custody along with Sewwandi.

The group was apprehended in an area approximately 18 kilometres from Kathmandu, the Capital of Nepal. 

Police have confirmed that steps are being taken to expedite the extradition of Ishara Sewwandi and the other suspects back to Sri Lanka.
