Drug Trail at Sea? Navy Intercepts Suspicious Cargo

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Sri Lanka Navy has intercepted a large cache of suspicious bags floating in the southern seas, believed to be linked to narcotics trafficking.

According to Navy Spokesperson Commander Buddhika Sampath, the bags were discovered during a special naval operation, and are currently being transported ashore for further investigation.

The Police Narcotics Bureau has now launched a special inquiry into the incident.
