The case, filed by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC), alleges that the accused caused a loss exceeding Rs. 1.8 billion to the Sri Lankan government by investing in Greek bonds in 2012, despite being aware of Greece’s severe economic crisis at the time.
