Public Consultation on Electricity Tariff Hike Ends Today

The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka(PUCSL) said the public consultation on the Ceylon Electricity Board’s proposal to raise electricity tariffs will conclude today.

Consultation from Western Province will be heard today. 

The proceedings will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Bandaranaike International Conference Hall in Colombo.

Consultations have already been completed in the other eight provinces. 

The PUCSL is scheduled to announce its decision on the proposed 6.8% tariff increase by the 15th of this month.
