Speaker Endorses National Audit (Amendment) Bill

COLOMBO (News 1st): Speaker Dr. Jagath Wickramaratne has endorsed the National Audit (Amendment) Bill, making it law as Act No. 19 of 2025.
The Bill was first presented to Parliament on July 8 and was passed with amendments on September 11.
One of the key changes introduced through the Act is granting the Auditor General the authority to lodge complaints with law enforcement agencies regarding instances of fraud or corruption.
