Suspect in Hambantota Ice Factory Case Remanded for 7 Days

COLOMBO (News 1st); A suspect arrested in connection with the Ice (methamphetamine) production facility uncovered at a housing complex in Hambantota has been remanded for seven days for questioning.

He was remanded after being produced before the Panadura Magistrate’s Court. 

Raids were carried out by officers of the Kalutara Crimes Division.

Police said the raid led to the discovery of 15 cans containing four liters of chemical substances suspected to be used in the production of Ice, along with filter papers.
