Drug House Uncovered in Nuwara Eliya

COLOMBO (News 1st); A special police team has launched an investigation into a house in Nuwara Eliya allegedly used for methamphetamine (Ice) production by notorious organized crime figure Kehelbaddara Padme. 

According to police sources, the property was identified during interrogations of Padme, who is currently being held under a 90-day detention order by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

He was extradited from Indonesia and is now under intense questioning by Sri Lankan authorities.

The house in question is suspected to have been used as a clandestine drug manufacturing site.
