Police Probe Jeep Assembled to Mimic Official Vehicle

COLOMBO (News 1st); A jeep modified to resemble an official police vehicle has been taken into custody by the Kandy Headquarters Police Vehicle Division, following a tip-off received.

According to police sources, the vehicle was intercepted in the Ambasevanagama, Kengalla area, and its owner was arrested during the operation.

Investigators noted that all windows of the jeep—except the front windshield—had been completely tinted.

Authorities are currently conducting further investigations to determine whether the jeep was assembled illegally.
