One Dead, Two Injured in Wild Elephant Attacks in Serunuwara and Ampara

COLOMBO(News 1st);A 58-year-old man died and two others were injured in separate wild elephant attacks reported this morning in Serunuwara and Ampara.

According to police, the fatal incident occurred around 4:00 a.m. in Thanganagar, Serunuwara, where a wild elephant attacked a hut, killing the man inside.

In a separate incident in the Bandaraduwa area of Ampara, a woman and a child were injured when a wild elephant damaged a house, causing a wall to collapse on them.

Both victims were admitted to the Ampara Hospital for treatment.
